Where learning is fun! |
|
We are always learning in 3rd grade... |

|
Reading is one of the fun subjects we work on in 3rd grade. All 3rd graders are combined to form reading teams that work on specific strategies that are best for each group of students. Mrs. Deal, Miss Bradley, Ms. Morris, and Mrs. Rafalko all teach a team of readers. Another important part of reading is AR. 3rd graders work responsibly on their independent reading and then take comprehension tests on the books they read. Students set goals and work for the entire AR period to reach their goal! |

Math is a perfect time to work on real-life skills and problem solving. Morris Hill uses the Everyday Mathematics curriculum to teach math. 3rd graders learn lots of math including fact families (addition/subtraction and multiplication/division), large numbers, money, telling time. We are always practicing our basic math facts so we get quicker and quicker at our mental math. Math games and Homelinks are a great way for us to practice what we are learning! |

Technology is a huge part of 3rd grade! We love getting on the computers to type stories, play math games, practice for the state test and LOTS of other things! |
