Mrs. Daphne Maxwell, USD
475 Board of Education President, was our keynote speaker. Aaron, 4th grade student, was
inspired by Mrs. Maxwell’s strong words. Antonio, 2nd grade
student, said “I liked the cheer from Mrs. Maxwell”. On
Thursday, November 15, 2007, we celebrated our Blue Ribbon Award with a
special ceremony at Morris Hill Elementary. Our hosts were Sierra and Alex.
They shined in their ability to lead the ceremony and introduce our
distinguished guests.

Mr. Lumb had three challenges 1. Enjoy the work. 2. Accept the challenge. 3.
Appreciate
the results.
for the teachers and students:

We had three musical
performances. The FRMS String Orchestra performed prelude music and
featured Yankee Doodle. Everyone was invited to sing “Blue Ribbon Song”
written especially for this occasion by Mrs. Kathy Maxwell and Mrs. Kelly
Ballard. Lastly, the 3rd, 4th and 5th
grade students performed “Michael (Row the Boat Ashore)”, a feature from
